Chen Karlsson is a design company founded by the two families of Chen and Karlsson. With inspiration from the Scandinavian and Asian design traditions we design and distribute homeware for a rich everyday life. Our products are produced by carefully selected industries and craftsmen in Scandinavia and Asia.

The story so far…
Hung-Ming Chen, Chen-Yen Wei, Tina Karlsson and Johan Karlsson meet at Konstfack University of Craft and Design in Stockholm in 2008. The first collaboration results in the joint show ”two families and dog” at Greenhouse, Stockholm Furniture fair. Two years and as many kids later the collaboration evolves into a joint venture: Chen Karlsson AB. Chen Karlsson is based in Stockholm, but frequently collaborates with family and friends near and far.

• 2007 The families Chen and Karlsson meet at Konstfack, Stockholm
• 2008 “Two families and a dog”, premier show at Stockholm Furniture Fair.
• 2009 Chen Karlsson AB – shareholder company is founded.
• 2010 The first commersial collection is showed at Stockholm Furniture Fair.
